(Bat Beaver) Colony leader
Tanya, first joined 1st Ramsey Scout Group in September 2006. (then aged 14 years) when Frankie, brought her along for a 'bring a friend badge' and Tanya simply never left...
2007
Invested as Assistant Beaver Leader / Assistant Cub Scout Leader, & underwent "Young Leader Training", whilst still in Secondary School.
Tanya devoted her time to the Beavers and Cubs, developing new games and activities. (Further advantaged by the fact that her mother ran a large
Scout Group in St Ives for 25+ years, who, like Tanya started helping at cub's at the age of 14).
2008
Started to show leadership experience, college course complete.
Undertook a 1 year "Childcare Level 2 Course" at Huntingdon Regional College
2009
Now developing leadership experience, college course complete, & half way through "Young Leader Training"
Undertook a 2 year "Childcare Level 3 Course" at Peterborough Regional College.
2011
Judith Branch, (combined Beaver & Cub Group Scout Leader) proposed Tanya to the committee in the role of full time Ramsey Beaver colony Leader.
With college course & "Young Leader" Training both complete she started to take more of a transitional Leading role, enabling Judith to ministrate
elsewhere.
The Present.
Currently working as a Teaching Assistant (Upwood Primary School).
Tanya, (recognised as the youngest fully qualified Colony Leader in the County) is running a Colony of mixed Beavers alongside her
assistant & co leader Bridget, (Chipmunk Beaver)
Developing an active familial Beaver Mascot.. 'Billy' (the Bulldog) within the colony
Tanya is additionally undertaking many hours of Adult Scout Training and hopes to implement many new fun activities to our ever growing beaver colony.
