Any cub / beaver wishing to show an item or talk briefly regarding a badge they are going for individually takes a stand & is encouraged to speak to the rest of the pack (with assistance from Akela or any attending parents / carers).

Parents are often not sure if their child will fit in!?
At 1st Ramsey we have a good mix of boys, girls & of those some may have, visual impairments, deafness, limited mobility or possible learning difficulties, often impossible to spot unless you already know!
Our biggest limitation to taking more children into either Beaver or Cub packs though is adult numbers, therefore whether a child has additional occasional needs our biggest problem is having enough adults present to oversee weekly meets.
Not as complicated as it sounds, adult presence can be limited to you simply being at hand within the building, chatting over a tea with another parent or carer, or helping from the sidelines on the odd occasion, you won't be left alone without assistance, nor asked to do anything you would feel uncomfortable with, sometimes we merely need to balance numbers of children & adults in the hall
for safety reasons.
Other parents who "hang around" for the duration may simply chat, assist with some tidying up, sorting & assessing basic DIY (such as using a work skilled eye to recommend how we go about repairs).
As we run on a basic budget of a few hundred pounds per year (a fine balance) we are limited to support & goodwill, ideas & donations of kit, appliances & the like from our members & immediate families / carers.
Therefore we count on your allegiance to the pack as well as your child's.
