& remember to wash your hands frequently to stop germs!

If you tried my simple ribs, then why not try these!?, ..it doesn't need to be done on a bbq to taste good outdoors, often we start food in the oven & finish it off outdoors on the grille.
Note: we made these in June 2013, local Ramsey Tesco prices for 1kg of wings was £2.29 per kg for a typical 16 pack of wings, so 1 or more packs may be needed depending on how many people you are making wings for.
I recommend you prepare & coat the chicken wings 1 day before you intend to cook them.
You'll need:
1kg (2.2Lbs) of prepared chicken wings.
2 tablespoons of tomato sauce.
2 tablespoons of worcester sauce.
2 tablespoons of brown sugar.
1 tablespoon of american mustard (a cool mustard)
For the dipping sauce we repeat the same ingredients again (except no chicken this time)
Dipping sauce:
2 tablespoons of tomato sauce.
2 tablespoons of worcester sauce.
2 tablespoons of brown sugar.
1 tablespoon of american mustard (a cool mustard).
Tools needed:
A large pyrex bowl or similar, (to mix the wings & sauce together)
An oven proof shallow dish big enough to accomadate all the coated wings.
Optional: (though better for even cooking) an oiled wire rack that fits inside your ovenproof baking dish.
Vegetable oil & a brush (to lightly coat the wire rack, this helps stop the chicken from sticking when cooking & being raised helps cook your food more evenly by allowing water to steam underneath it, keeping the meat moist).
- Pre-heat the oven to 220 C / 200 C for a fan oven.
- Combine the sauces, sugar & mustard in a large bowl (such as a big pyrex bowl).
- Add your fresh chicken, mix thoroughly ((use your fingers ))
- After the chicken has been well coated, with an adults help cover & seal the bowl with clingfilm & place it in the fridge overnight. (this is called marinading, so the flavours of the sauce stick well to the skin & meat).
- Next day, (when ready to cook your yummy wings) remove from the fridge, have a large shallow baking dish ready to fit your chicken wings in a single layer.
- get a brush to coat the chicken tops & sides once they're on the rack / dish, using the remaining marinade.
- Roast the chicken for around 30 minutes or until the chicken is good & browned & cooked through (get an adult to help as the oven, baking dish, & chicken will be HOT)!!!!
- Now grab your dipping sauce pop it in a small glass bowl & microwave on full power for a full minute, get an adult to stir the ingredients in to make sure they've mixed properly (& watch out in case the bowl & sauce are HOT).
- Stick the cooked wings on a plate, with the dipping sauce on the side, grab some paper towel for sticky fingers, tuck in & enjoy!
Enjoy a tasty dish you made all by yourself, because... "Cubs CAN Cook"
