Yup! ..we have started a new page & are trying to tie in pictures of the yesteryear of 1st Ramsey group...
So if anyone's Dad, uncle, Grandparent or just anyone you know was a cub or scout locally, please let us know, we'd love to pop some old pictures up to fill in the big gaps in the groups history.
So far, (& sadly) we have very little info on the group, however if you pop over to the History page (simply use our search box if using a tablet pc / smartphone) to see our earliest photo dating back to 1921 ..bear in mind the picture features a still prominent local Ramsey family, which means we as a group are fast approaching our 100th birthday as a scouting association group!
I found the pictures in a local Cambridgeshire photo archive, some pictures are linked... including the most recent shot from the memorial, it appears our HQ was amongst a cluster of buildings possibly!? (hard to tell) ..we did find out that the pub (nearly opposite) ..the horseshoes was known as "the 3 kickers" ...do you know why? it's because it has 3 "gables" on the building.
4 pictures found amongst over 700, hope you can point us in the right direction for more.
